The Chinese Roll-Up

With the recent changes in weather, China is overall more enjoyable. However, one of the things I do already miss about the hot and humid weather is the ubiquitous "Chinese Roll-Up." The Chinese Roll-Up is a commonly used technique for ventilating the lower half of your belly and back. Plus, it looks pretty fine. You can still spot a few as the autumn weather rolls in but I thought it was high time to pay tribute to one of my favourite Chinese looks.

As spotted in Weifang on a particularly sweaty day in Weifang... happiest Chinese Roll-Up ever! All that increased ventilation and you'd be grinning too!

And some Roll/Role Modelling for the next generation:

Don't knock it 'til you try it. I was pleasantly surprised by both the visual and cooling effects. Never before has style and function merged so perfectly in one sweet temporary clothing adaptation.
